Through my adventurous nature and passion for food I have been on what I can promise will be a never ending search to find interesting and delicious cuisine from all over the world. I have a background in sociology which has taught me about different people from very far off parts of the world. It has also shown me that food is a common thread which ties society, culture, and people together. Everyone eats (sometimes it is ofter and sometimes it is a rarity), but food means something to everyone.
I love traveling and hope I will be able to journey even more outside of the U.S. I have been to Europe, Central America, and Canada. I have come to find out it isn’t necessary to travel far away places to find great food because so many people from other countries come to America in search of their own dreams, they bring their food with them. The majority of the food, music, and culture I will be writing about I have experienced in California between San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
My tastes have always existed outside of the mainstream and even my own friends, forcing me to be on the hunt for the opinions and resources provided by other people interested in the subculture topics or the artifacts I’m drawn to. With no one immediately near me with similar tastes I had to basically research music, movies and other culture via magazines and the internet to connect the dots in regards to my taste.
